How to Have a Panda Friendly Website

If you're thinking of working on some SEO tactics, Google's latest updates mean you need to make sure those tweaks are Panda friendly. Plenty of people spend their time complaining about those changes, but in reality the only positive thing to do is modify any SEO efforts so you get your results back again. When you're trying to work out your course of action, you'll logically run into a few gray areas. Of course, there is plenty of information out there that Google has been open about. Google frequently publish blog posts with helpful SEO hints to improve your results. If you use Google Webmaster, then they will tell you what's wrong if you were slapped down. This article will look at three things you can do to increase the Panda friendliness of your site.

Unbelievably, there are still webmasters out there filling up their sites with auto-generated content scraped from other sites, which is a big no-no with both Google and Bing. Sure, you might get away with using this for a short period of time. Anyone who's been in IM at all should already realize what damage this can do. Google can discover this relatively easily, but you might also get ratted out by someone else. From that point, you risk getting your site labelled as dealing with scraped content. At best, you could find you lose any ranking you might have built up, but at worst, you could get de-indexed entirely.

Another little trick you can do is create more enticing content by using the list approach. It's been long recognized that some of the more popular articles circulating feature things like 7 tips or 5 best ways to do something. It's fine to use this type of list format, but still make sure the content you offer is interesting and engaging. Don't think you can get away with just writing a list that doesn't feature any other content. Other sites are far more likely to link to well-written list articles. Try to vary your articles, however, so they're not all in list-style.

When you want to create Panda friendly content, you need to concentrate on maximizing your visitor experiences. This, then, means that you can compose all sorts of content in all sorts of ways. Building a "news" section for your site is a great way to reduce your bounce rate. It should go without saying that you need to make sure that these actually relate to your site theme and niche. It's not hard to do this, though, especially since Google Alerts exists. You're even allowed to update this section of your site every day of the week. This is pretty easy and, even better, it trains Google's spiders to visit your site all the time which is a desirable outcome. Your visitors will like it too, which means that it is good all around.

Optimizing your site from an SEO and business viewpoint to improve it's conformity to Panda rules is an ongoing procedure. While you first need to fix what's wrong, you then need to stick with doing the right thing. It's certainly not the end of the world or overly complicated, so there really aren't any excuses for you to avoid getting it done.
