Corey Eridon recently posted a blog entitled "7 Reason Why Agile Marketers are Better at Their Jobs Than You." But what is an agile marketer? Eridon explained that an agile marketer streamlines the marketing process to obtain optimal results. Agile marketers don't wait for permission or allow themselves to get tangled up in bureaucratic red-tape before making every decision. They understand that sometimes it's best to just go with your gut and press forward. You know what they say; sometimes it better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Three qualities inherent in every agile marketer:

Agile marketers publish more content.

An agile marketer understands the importance of producing and publishing content that is current as well as accurate. They do not waste time waiting for fifteen people to approve a blog or an article; that just slows down the creative process. Let's be clear, quality does matter. But relax, not everything has to be perfect.

Remember, every sentence does not need to be reviewed by a panel of lawyers before it goes live. Instead, enlist the skills of a trusted, capable coworker to review work for grammar, flow, spelling, and structure. Eridon's Hubspot article suggests that 15-20 minutes is sufficient enough time for review. Efficiency is the key. By streamlining the creative process, your company can produce more quality content in a shorter amount of time. And the more quality content that this produced, the better off your company will be.

Agile marketers get involved in social media conversations.

Many companies have restricted access to social media while in the work place but when it comes to social marketing, access is a must! Navigating various social media platforms while engaging and contributing to a range of social conversations, allows a savvy marketer to keep a finger on the pulse of what's current. Participating in the online social conversation informs and reassures the audience that a company knows what's going on in the online universe and demonstrates that it is relevant to those conversations.

Agile marketers utilize all available resources to make quick, actionable decisions.

Understanding where a company stands enables shrewd marketers to best determine a winning strategy. Agile marketers use analytics to track everything from hit counts, to leads, to actual sales and how those numbers relate to monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Metrics provide quantifiable feedback on a company's performance, revenues, and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization).

Agile marketers create new webpages and launch offers quickly. It takes minutes, not days to produce and upload landing pages. Remaining open-minded is essential. Referral traffic and leads can be generated from even the most unlikely of sources. It's also important to have a short term memory. Not everything you try will be a success, so when it's not, learn from it and move on. Whatever the results, agile marketers are not afraid to try something new.
