by Jon Pittman

If you have an Internet business, and you want to make money in 2012, PPC advertising might be the way to go. If you are new to this form of advertising, then maybe you know that Google Adwords really shook up their program several years ago. When it comes to affiliate products, it does not mean that you cannot do this. Google frowns upon affiliate marketers for some reason, so you might be better off with a different network if affiliate products are what you are marketing. The matter what PPC network you choose, your goal is to use profitable strategies that will earn you a living. Learn pay per click well and then ease into it because that will help to keep you out of trouble.

Avoid keyword stuffing in your ads or trying to do it, at least. It is useless to try with the major players in PPC like Bing/Yahoo or Google PPC who will see this right away. Here are a few techniques that are allowed that will work. For instance, in your primary ad group, keyword phrases should be in the body and headline. It is also a good strategy to cast a wider net by using secondary keywords in your advertising. In fact, Google will appreciate that you are being so specific by targeting certain keywords. Depending upon what you are selling, it may or may not work. You have to test to find out.

Creating short copy is an absolute necessity for any PPC campaign that you create. Here's why: A PPC ad is called short copy because of the short and to the point. Many short copywriters have made lots of money with PPC, so don't think that there is not much you can do with limited ad space. You should be happy to know that it will not take you several weeks to master how to do this. Learning how to do this the right way is the secret to success, and not wasting your money on PPC advertising. Becoming comfortable with writing PPC ads will happen after you have written 100 ads or so.

Anyone that goes to the Internet, and uses a search engine, is more than likely searching using a particular keyword. When they're able to find what they're looking for, they are happy. That's how people work. People want to find something relevant, so use their keyword in your URL when you do your advertising. You can use an inner page, like a sub page or subfolder that has the key word for them to see. It is best not to send people to your main domain or URL. Always send them to the sub page that is keyword specific. There is nothing wrong with using the keyword in the page file. In fact, it is recommended.

Using any PPC platform for search engine is viable, as long as you are properly prepared for it. In fact, Google Adwords is one of the most popular platforms and you should certainly use it for your campaigns. You should also give Bing/Yahoo they try, just to see what they can do in regard to selling your products or services.

One thing you need to realize concerning this discussion about pin profits is it can become as effective as you want; it depends on how you scale your promotions.
