An Oscar Party Featuring LED Lights

You and the people that you are inviting to the party may not be movie stars and paparazzi. However, this should not stop you from planning a party with Hollywood or the Oscars as the theme. What you could do is to have a party that is a make believe of those that the stars would normally do. Of course, you have to plan this well. There is also the need to inform your potential guests on what attire to wear during the event so that the party would really look like the real thing.

One thing that you must not forget is that the best word to describe a party is "fun." If you wish to ensure this, then you may as well try to use certain products that would really make the venue more visually entertaining. In this regard, you could have LED products installed all over the place. In fact, you may also have LED drinkware that could make even the most ordinary drinks look more interesting. Among the choices are light-up champagne flutes and blinking or flashing martini glasses.

Even the food prepared for the party should appear to complement the theme of the party and to set the right ambience. A buffet that is decorated with LED would be a great idea since this would make the guests easily find out which corner of the venue has the food. Apparently, the buffet table itself should really be nice to look at before guests would ever entertain the idea of approaching it and get the food that they like. A good idea would be to cover the table with a black cloth and to use complementing clear plates that have LED lights. You may also have LED serving trays on it too.

Sweets should be around during the entire event. In order to guarantee this, you should set up a dessert bar that is also fun to look at. Make sure that this is loaded with treats that are commonly found in the movie theater snack bar, such as popcorn and candies. Again, see to it that that the dessert bar itself catches the attention of your guests. You could have its table covered with black cloth and then put some LED lights to brighten it a bit.

Being the host, your primary goal is to make the party really enjoyable for the guests. Come up with games that are related to the Oscars. These should be played while the awards show is on commercial breaks. One particular game that you could have is trivia, with questions that focus on anything that is Hollywood. Another fun game that you could come up with is Oscar bingo, which is again in line with your theme. With these games being played, you naturally have to prepare some prizes which do not have to be expensive.

There should be music being played in the background while the party is going on. If there is no music to be played, the party runs the risk of being boring or lifeless. Just make sure that the songs that are going to be played are also in line with the theme. As a movie fan, it should not be hard for you to come up with a playlist of such songs.
