Unneeded Peripherals For A Wii

The Nintendo Wii is one of the first consoles to really market to everybody. That includes kids, as well as adults, and it's become a better gaming device for the casual or party gamer. But with that comes a lot of peripherals that are never going to be useful, and that are really just wastes of money.
You're going to find that one of the most common is the plastic attachment that you can put your Wii mote into, to make them look like any number of sport or other types of devices.
In fact, one of the more popular types tend to be golf clubs or baseball bats, which make your Wii remote actually look like both things. While that seems cool, it actually does nothing for the gameplay, and can actually reduce the effectiveness of your Wii.
They are going to cost you real money though, with some peripherals that are nothing more than hunks of plastic still costing you in excess of $30. That's why you have to be careful.
There are some useful peripherals amongst the slew of useless hunks of plastic that aren't going to do anything for you. It's picking out the actually useful pieces of Wii hardware amongst those that are less than useful that becomes difficult.
For example, they sell a Wii bowling accessory that's literally just a ball that you can plug the controller into. This isn't going to make you any better at bowling though, and it's going to set you back almost $30.
But Nintendo does make a variety of extensions of the Wii remote that do make play easier in a variety of ways. Such as the wheel that you can steer driving games with like Mario Kart.
That being said, it is still a piece of plastic, and you aren't paying for anything that you absolutely need to play the game. So just beware when you make the purchase.
