Hosting an 80s Themed Party

One thing that you probably never want to be caught in is an 80's-styled attire. However, this does not mean that you would never find having an 80s themed party as something that is fun and enjoyable. But why would you ever host a party that brings the 80's back in the first place? The answer lies in your idea of fun that your contemporaries may have. It was during the said decade that a new culture evolved and became quite popular. While it may be true that you would just be making yourself a laughingstock if you wear 80's styled clothes, doing so in a party could be cool.

It cannot be denied that the 80s style in fashion have greatly inspired that of today's. In fact, even the hairstyle that many women like to have is usually copied from that of the yesteryears. Of course, there are still a lot of things attributed to those times that are no longer around. This is the reason why if you are going to hold 80s bash, it is best that you tell your guests to come in their most distinctive getups or costumes that refer to the said times, such as those made famous by Madonna and Michael Jackson.

It would be a bad idea to play contemporary music that are reminiscent of the 90s when your guests are in their 80s attire. Your choice of music should be attributable to the times also. This is why you should make a playlist of the songs that were popular during this decade. You could have those that were made popular by the top artists of the time. Some options are the hits made by Prince, Guns n' Roses, the Cure, and Madonna.

If you wish to find more inspiration so that your party would really be a hit, you should watch music videos of the 1980s. You would certainly notice that neon lights are quite common sights at that time, an idea that you should consider when decorating the venue. Instead of neon lights, you could make use of LED lights. Such items could be bought from online shops that sell these. With such shops, it would be much easier for you to find the variety that you would need.

It would be necessary for you find out about the kinds of LED light-up decorations that your venue should have. A good idea would be to decorate the walls with LED string lights. Your tables could have fiber optic centerpieces. LED candles could be used to spruce up the bar and make it even more pleasant. You may also have some LED light-up balloons and flowers for the posts and the corners. With these lights, you could certainly make the venue even more enjoyable.

Aside from decorating the venue itself with LED lights, you should also consider having LED drinkware. This means that your glasses should have glowing colors. You may also have ordinary glasses for your drinks but you could put LED ice cubes in these as well. The said ice cubes also come in a variety of colors.
