So don't think that this is a wrong way to write a subject line. In fact, it could prove to be highly effective, and giving away free stuff to your list will always increase the value of it and help your subscribers trust you more. Take advantage of this simple tip to increase the effectiveness of your email's subject line.

One of the most well kept secrets of the email marketing world is to create subject lines that invoke urgency. The reason urgency works so well is because people hate losing out on something potentially good. Nobody wants to let go of an offer that is soon to expire. If you want to use urgency, then the best approach is look at your own offer and product and go from there. Never overdo any one thing, and avoid doing what everyone else is doing; how many times do readers see that they need to act fast? Avoid embarrassment, and unsubs, by limiting your use of certain kinds of urgency tactics - think ahead. Just keep in mind that it is important to test things out, and if you keep learning and practicing you'll see better results.

Testing different formats and approaches in your subject lines is smart and something probably most marketers do not do. Testing is powerful, have no doubt, and it's well worth your time to do it. No worries, though, because most marketers take a little time to find a winner. As you continue to write and test, you will discover that your writing will improve.
