The Facebook Ad Comeback

You've probably noticed that you haven't clicked on a Facebook Ad in a long time. You're not alone. Facebook Ads are suffering. Facebook sidebar ads are over saturated and users frankly don't trust them. However, this is good news for both Facebook and those that have Facebook brand pages. New studies are showing that the ads that appear on Facebook mobile are actually quite effective. They are clicked on thirteen more times than desktop ads and they even earn eleven times more!

Facebook ads on the mobile phone seem to slip into the news feed of users unnoticed. It is essentially pretty seamless and it appears that users are regarding these ads as regular content and they click on the ads to see what apps and pages their friends are using. There are also much less ads on Facebook Mobile than there are on Facebook Desktop, which is a key component. There has been a lot of doubt about the Facebook Mobile stock, as it dropped from its opening $38 to $31.50 today.

Facebook has even let users specify that they want their ad to be solely for mobile, which is a great idea. If these mobile ads prove successful, it could be a big motivator for skeptical investors. This is speculated to be the revenue driver that Facebook has been waiting for. Could it be?

Luckily for Facebook, it's competitors Google+ and Twitter don't have the social graph or on-site activity to make these kinds of ads. They could make them, but they would probably not get clicked on. This is a good sign.

If you have or haven't tried a Facebook ad before, now would be a good time to test out this mobile ad feature. It's brand new and most people don't know about it yet, which really gives you a head start advantage. This means less ads for them and more clicks for you. Hurry before it catches on!
