For your eBook to sell, especially online, you need a website promoting it everyday. Yes you want to promote your book on your blog and your other sites. In general, if you want to sell an eBook online, it should have an associated website. The Internet community will always attribute a book's worth to whether or not it has a website. A sales letter on your website is not enough - you need to have other pages to make it believable. Besides the sales letter, you should have reviews written by readers and also an author page. People shouldn't just visit the site one time. You really want people to purchase and download your e-book - that is the goal.

The Kindle store is where most people list their eBooks. Your eBook can actually be sold in many other places online. The Nook store, for example, is a great source of income for a lot of e-publishers. The largest bookseller chain, Barnes & Noble, actually runs Nook online from their website. You will be very proud, as an epublisher, to put your eBook in this vast online store. All you do is upload eBooks and the sales portal takes care of the rest. That's not much to ask if that is all you have to do to start making extra money online.

Why not set up a special sale on the book for people who buy it through a certain sales portal like the Nook or Kindle stores? You could literally get away a PDF copy of the eBook. Sell it for a penny! Whatever works. There is no limit here - be as creative and crazy as you like.

People that buy might want to have your eBook and Kindle format, or maybe read it on their Nook - do this with a special offer. If the people will allow you to send it to them in a PDF format, charge them a penny just to get the sale. Be creative and crazy! This can only help you sell more eBooks every single day.

There are lots of ways to increase your eBook sales. A lot of this can be done prior to the launch. You can also do other things to promote your eBook after your successful launch. You are only limited by your own predispositions and the creativity that you put into this project. It all comes down to how creative you are and how much work you are willing to do when looking at the potential for success with your eBook.
