The desks or counters can also be made from various materials like wood, faux wood or various forms of plastic. The desks can either be a large singular unit, or various smaller units connected together. Depending on the size of the space, the desks are often one large single unit.

Computers are also a vital piece of furniture found in a control center. The computers allow for easy access to information and for information sharing throughout the facility. It is an easy way to store and share data with other employees.

Another important yet helpful piece of furniture are storage cabinets.

One of the most important things to have in a good control centre is the proper chair. A stationary chair defeats the mobility and easy access the area creates. It is important to provide chairs the move easily with wheels on the bottom. It is also an added benefit, but not necessary, if the chair has a height adjustment.
