Utilizing an Autoresponder Along with a Lead Generation Website

A lead generation website is one that encourages a visitor to make an inquiry or opt in to receive further information about products and services.
When setting up a new website for the purposes of lead generation, or evolving a site that does not have an opt-in box, consideration should be made when choosing an email autoresponder program.
Lead Generation Website Autoresponders
There are several wonderful corporations that will handle all of your emails and these programs can be built to send out a series of pre-written messages as fast as someone signs up.
In most cases you can decide to need a double opt-in process to provide help in protecting you and your prospects from getting penalized due to spam mail complaints or not. I have found requiring prospects to approve their request for more information significantly reduces the number of leads you'll eventually get.
You may also wish to write your follow-ups to provide high value content - not only a sales spiel. Think about it. How long do you stay subscribed to amail list that offers nothing less than a pretentious sales message every two days?
Consider also the information you ask for when you design your opt-in box. Folk do not like giving out too much information initially, but always get the subscriber's first and last names and you may have a box for any other information relevant to your business.
As an example, you might have a drop down box that lists the products on your site and from you can find out specifically what information your customer is hunting for. If you have six different products you can then build six different list in your e-mail program and target information and other products specifically to those people.
Whenever you set up autoresponders or any sort of e-mail campaign, it's important that your emails are checked and checked again. Many people are not impressed by spelling errors, and rather more won't read amail that may be a mile long. Make your e-mails accurate and to the point, and written in short paragraphs, in simply digestible chunks.
Once your list has grown to a respectable size, you may send out a once per month newsletter, informing subscribers about new products and services you have added.
Address your subscriber by his first name, not "dear subscriber" as is typically seen, and write your copy as if you're writing to a friend, don't blind customers with "get this" or "buy this", it turns people off. The best way effect a sale is by helping folks, by giving them topical information and anything free is always good, as an example a free e-book.
Make sure that everything you send your subscriber is applicable and of worth. If your "unsubscriber" list builds too swiftly, that's a sure sign you do something wrong, though you will always get some individuals that unsubscribe.
So understand that your auto responder and the e-mails you send out are at the very heart of your lead generation website. You wouldn't have a lead generation website without it. So spend some time modifying and refining this facet of your system. Don't just toss away some email pitches. Relate. Form a relationship. Ask for feedback and collaboration.
