You can set up a contact form on your blog so that people can tell you that they are interested in sponsoring a post. Even if it takes a while to decide on a price you can charge, by posting regularly you will increase the opportunities available to you when it comes to generating some cash from your blog. Sell direct ads on your sidebars. A particular amount of space on your sidebars can be set aside for advertisers. You can sell different sized graphic advertisements at various prices. While you can use an ad network to do this, you are better off doing it direct because you will be making more money. When you sell the ads directly you don't have to pay a percentage of the sale to the network. You also get more control over who advertises on your blog and for how long their ads stay up.

Write posts you request payment for. Post sponsorship is completely different to paid posts. A post that is paid for generally covers a topic the client has chosen. Be cautious with this approach. Because they are paying, some people believe it's okay to try and change what you plan on writing in your post and influence you. You can choose whether or not you want to accept post assignments like this. You can make it easier for people to find your blog and buy posts on it by joining special networks, which is one of the nice things about this strategy.

Post text ads on your sidebars. Your earnings should be around the same level, even if text ads don't generate as much money but you can get more of them in the same amount of space. A text ad is easier to sell-the low asking price is very attractive to people who might not be sure about buying a full sized graphic ad on your site. For an average month, text ads sell for about ten dollars per month. If your blog is very popular, you will probably be able to get a little more for them. Andbecause you can fit two or three in the space normally reserved for a graphic ad, you might even be able to bring more money in with them.

A great way to generate some additional money is through monetizing your blog. Some people have managed to monetize their blogs to such an extent that they do not need to do other things to earn a living. Like most people, you will probably be using blog monetization to generate a little extra income alongside what you are making from bigger projects. But the fact is that every extra cent matters.
