Stir a sense of urgency through your ad by putting up an expiration date or a deadline that would make your prospective customers take quicker action. All ads are designed not to be merely read, but to be acted upon, and this is where urgency comes in. You often have to introduce some compelling reason for them to "act now" if you don't want them to slip away, as most people won't remember to return to an ad they read earlier. When people "think about it" for more than a few minutes, you risk losing them to the next ad that comes along, possibly one that has a time limit on it.

One way to increase the response rate for a product is to insert scarcity into the equation -you're only going to be selling X number of them. By making your product scarce, you increase its perceived value, and also pressure prospects to respond to your offer quickly. Whether you're selling physical or digital items, scarcity can be an effective tactic to motivate people to buy something quickly; just don't do this dishonestly, as people will catch on and it will harm your reputation.

Effective advertising online is dependent on many different elements, and you can't overlook anything. The idea behind your advertisement should not only about be about making an impression on your target audience, but it should also be about getting firm results. Even the most experienced online marketers have to constantly test and tweak their ads to match the changing marketplace and to keep up with the competition. By always carefully watching your results, you'll be able to make your ads more and more profitable.
