Creating a website is easy and selling a product on your site is also no rocket science - however, if you aren't taking any good measures when building trust with your visitors, you'll find that none of your efforts are fruitful. Some people do not care so much about the specific design of your site, but enough will so that you do need to make some wise choices about it. If all is in proper order on your site, including your design, then people will notice it even if it is on a more unconscious level. Your site has precious little time to make people want to stay and see more, so the design cannot make them run away. When the first impression about your site is not good, then it does not really matter what they think because they will be gone forever. Remember this is all about creating trust with your target market, so it seems rather clear as to what you need to do. Your credibility is far more important and valuable to waste causing any harm to it by questionable marketing practices. Short term goals that are not a part of any long term strategy usually prove to be harmful. Quick profits are short lived, but the potential negative consequences can be very long term. So just be careful about what you become attracted to and take care of your business.
