Online Marketers understand the significance of testing, tweaking and tracking key elements of their sales and marketing funnels. Tiny improvements can have a tremendous effect in the long-term and no sales funnel is ever perfect! In this article I'll explain how Listjoe can be used to develop killer ads and high converting lead capture pages!
In a previous article I explained how Listjoe can be used to interact with up to 85,000 people every month, sending offers and inviting them to your website. I went on to show that if just 5% of those people decided to visit your site then that would account for 4250 new, unique visitors every month. But how can these visitors be used to offer intelligence on what is working and what is not in your marketing and advertising funnel?
Each time you send out a Listjoe message you will be inviting fellow members to visit your website, or check out an offer of some kind. In the back-office of Listjoe you may track the success rate of each personal ad, as the system provides a real time report of CTR, as well as other beneficial information. It might be a different title and same e mail content, or the same title and different email content. Change 1 parameter each time until you see improvements in results and then change a different parameter. Never stop testing, fine-tuning and tracking! This is the key to writing killer advertisements and learning how to write high converting ad copy.
Next up are your squeeze pages! Higher click through rates are wonderful, but that only gets more and more people onto your website. What if they do not like what they see and don't buy your product or opt-in to your list?
We have just looked over split testing for your adverts and now I am going to explain how to test capture pages too. The process is the same! You may use the details from Listjoe to record how many visitors a mailing has attracted and from that you may then work out what percentage your capture page has transformed into leads (new opt-in subscribers, divided by clicks, multiplied by 100). It is very important that you record this data in a spread sheet, as this will tell you how effective your website landing page is. Split test 2 capture pages, compare the results, keep the greater converting page and discard the other. Make sure you change 1 parameter at a time and track the results.
