Get Yourself Ready For Your Coaching Calls Together With James Malinchak By Andrea Adams-Miller

Once you have been accepted into the James Malinchak family, it's time to take action to make your year most valuable. Among the first things that you'll receive is access to his calling schedule. Instantly, arrange all your calls for the year to start after your one day of coaching with him. This is one of the biggest mistakes I see platinum members create for themselves. They put off getting scheduled for calls, then are disappointed when their choices for dates are limited, and they are scrambling to get the calls in at the end of the year.

My opinion is to get them scheduled quickly and to use them sooner rather than later. Often it seems people hoard their calls for problems should they occur. Frankly, I'm of the belief that you have to use them before problems arise to avoid problems rising! Also, I think that having a call pending results in clients getting motivated to be prepared for the call. I find it funny that other platinum members concur with me, we feel 'in trouble' when we don't get our projects done.

To tell the truth, we aren't 'in trouble.' However, James, as with any good mentor, is disappointed when they ask us about a action plan days, weeks, and months later only to realize we haven't made any progress. He really cares about us and our success. From a personal standpoint, I'm frustrated with my clients whenever they invest in my advice, then persist in not adhering to it and wondering why they're not getting ahead. James is no different.

Once you have a schedule of calls set, prepare for your calls by getting your things in order. I suggest you create a checklist of the following items:

* Write down pressing questions and rate them in order of importance asking the most important thing first!

* Present problems or concerns with possible solutions you have already considered

* Send any products, packages, papers, as well as presentations 12 to 48 hours prior to your call via his request of a fax.

* Have every one of these items and questions in front of you in either physical form or already pulled up in electronic form.

* Avoid the whining, excuses, as well as complaining. Don't waste your time regurgitating past issues when you could be getting ahead with the aid of James now.

* Get to the point quickly. Don't waste your invaluable advice time elaborating in long drawn out storytelling.

* Shut up and listen. Again, you called to take his knowledge as well as ideas, so provide him a chance to present it.

Lastly, do what you were told in a timely manner and prepare for your next call.
