Tommy LeVrier And Some Of His Most Appealing Works

Being the acclaimed playwright he is Tommy LeVrier has had a number of his plays produced in many US cities. These include Austin, New York, Los Angeles and Houston, all this despite originating from the tiny Daisetta town in East Texas. He went to school at the University of Houston with two Pulitzer-Prize winners Lanford Wilson and Edward Albee.

The two individuals would then produce his plays; Jesus and Phoebe as well as Rapture among the Oysters. The Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston displayed them. In his career, he has also won awards such as the Lone Star Award. He was a Nichol Foundation Academy Screenwriting Contest finalist.

Words Work has published some short stories he has authored. The Persona is also another literary magazine that published the stories. Another of his accomplishments is by successfully completing his Master of Playwriting and Directing degree from the Texas State University.

How to Get Rich is a much acclaimed play by him. The tale in this one is about a troubled couple. Although being over educated, they remain unemployed. The couple comprises of Daffeney and Huston. From the frustration brought about by not finding employment, Huston, driving a Volkswagen Bug goes through a University of Texas HR Office glass pane. Uncle Howie, an annoying neighbor of theirs, decides to offer them some financial advice.

Another play by him is Alcoholic Drama, which involves three women who spent their time grew up together in a rural setting. They all meet again after a decade. Violet is the eldest and the bully of the other two. She still attempts to bully the other two. She evokes the dreadful experience and the two are set to avenge.

One other enticing play is Jesus &amp; Phoebe. Phoebe is a teenage Punk-Rock-Goth musician who finds it hard to attract a liking from everyone including her parents and teachers. To unwind, she decides to spend her Saturdays at a Hollywood cemetery. On one day, she finds Jesus on her favorite bench. They quarrel over who is the owner. They later decide to stake it and end up becoming friends. With such enticing plays, <A href="http://www.tommylevrier.com">Tommy LeVrier</A> can be so hard to resist.
