Revenue Sharing: Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing businesses are one of the most popular ways of earning money. Anyone who is determined, resourceful, and willing to learn can become successful in affiliate marketing. But how can affiliate marketing result to earning money? First, the business of affiliate marketing can be described as a joint effort of two businesses. So affiliate marketing can be described as a relationship between two businesses with a common goal of boosting visitor traffic. One business is called the Advertiser, and the other is called the Publisher or the Affiliate.
The relationship of both is based on revenue sharing. The Advertiser will put ads in the Publisher's website. The ads provide links to the Advertiser's website. The Advertiser will pay the Publisher for every click a visitor makes on the link. The Publisher can be paid based on any of the following:
CPC
This means that the Advertiser will pay the Publisher every time a visitor goes to the Advertiser's website by clicking the ad. The pulling factor is actually the Publisher's content or products. So when users visit the Publisher's page, they will also know about the Advertiser's website.
The ads will be made from words that will attract visitors to the Advertiser's website. An Advertiser can have many Publishers, so a system will be needed in order to identify which Publisher referred the visitor.
The Cost Per Lead
Cost per lead requires that visitors fill up a form or sign-up before the Publisher can get his share. After signing up, a visitor will become a lead for the Advertiser to get more clients. Since a lead is more valuable than a simple visitor, the compensation given to the Publisher for each lead is relatively higher than the pay for each visitor.
CPA
This refers to when a visitor from a Publisher's site purchases a product or service from the Advertiser. A mere visitor can become a paying customer. So the Advertiser will earn money. The Publisher will get a portion of the Advertiser's profit.
