He is a popular Australian actor who has been in numerous TV shows, films and theater productions. He is actually the son of Kath and Bill Wenham and was born in Sydney, Australia. David is the youngest in the family. David Wenham has one older brother and five older sisters. Just before turning into a famous acting professional, he worked well as a bingo caller and insurance clerk.
His ability revealed itself even as a kid, he seemed to be the class clown for creating funny characters in school and he used to put on living room shows for his family at home. He went after his acting at the Nepean Theatre School and began his profession in well known TV episode, Sons and daughters. He then was a working actor in several Aussie series such as A Country Practice, Police Rescue in the 90s. He gained several nominations from the Australian Film Institute Award regarding his role in Rowan's Wood films The Boys.
Among his famous part involves Faramir in The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. He was selected as a cast on this motion picture since he looks like his on-screen brother, Sean Bean. David Wenham notes, both of them have big noses. Even though he only appeared twice in Lord of the Rings, he was elected as best picture nominee 3 years successively.
His role as Driver Dan, in the 1998 Australian series Seachange has made him like a sex symbol, although he doesn't like thinking of himself as such. He didn't sign the contract for the second season so, the writers wrote him out. At one point, he was voted as Australia's sexiest man alive.
When he was in Hollywood, his profile continued to rise when he worked as Hugh Jackman's sidekick in the vampire action movie Van Helsing in 2004. After that he went back to Australia in 2005 where he landed a role as an arrogant and brutal lawyer in an award winning show The proposition. He also became a leading man where he gave a moving performance as an honest man supporting his family after losing a job in Three Dollars.
<a href="http://www.tv1.com.au/">David Wenham</a> began working on the gym for his Spartan warrior role on the famous movie 300 in 07. It had been an adaptation from the graphic novel of Frank Miller in regards to the famous combat of Thermopylae in four hundred and eighty BC. This turned out to be a worldwide smash hit that shown his career in Hollywood. But the actor still came back home to star in a very villainous character with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman in 2008 movie Australia.
