My Shopping Genie Fraud, A Great Thing Gone Bad?
by Freeda Smythe
My Shopping Genie has been getting a lot of attention recently, not because it's a great FREE application that can help you find the best deals online, BUT because of the MLM business model attached to it.
The Shopping Genie is run by MyNet Universe and is well endorsed by the online giants E-bay, Amazon & Clickbank, this should be putting your mind at rest for a start. As mentioned before the Genie software is free to use and when you are shopping online it will hunt out the best deals for you and show them up in your browser.
Prime Time, a TV investigation programme recently looked into the Genie and sent an undercover agent to the launch meeting in Ireland. As far as they are concerned the My Shopping Genie biz op is a scam, they are stating that its just a pyramid scheme with no products and people only getting paid for introducing others.
So what is the product? Well it will cost you 199 dollars to join up (plus $30 per month) you will then have a license to give the Genie software away to others and to earn from new people that you bring into the scheme. You also have to pay around $30 a month for the back office fees. The Genie founder Bruce Bise is 100% confident that the opportunity is legitimate and he loses no sleep at night.
When a Genie distributor signs up they will earn $100 for every 2 new licenses they sell. To be honest its probably this part if the business which started the negative press about the Genie, the fact that you are being compensated for bringing others into the business.
As a license holder you are able to earn an income from the use of the Genie software itself. Those people who have downloaded My Shopping Genie through your link will most likely start using the software when shopping online. Well you are going to earn from clicks, view and sales made. This is some seriously easy money, and it can grow very big!
Complaints seem to be part and parcel of the MLM home based business industry, is there any company out there which hasn't been slated by someone at some point? Some people just don't like the idea of free enterprise, some are jealous, others have tried and failed, there will be a ton of other reasons as well. What we need to do is look at the facts as they really are and determine if any actual fraud has taken place.
The BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a good place to find out if there have been any complaints about a particular company. I checked out the Genie's parent company MyNet Universe and they've been awarded a B+ rating (which is a high score). Total record of complaints registered is 0 in the last 36 months. They did get a wrist slapping by The BBB as they used the word 'free' in one of their adverts once.
To be honest you will need to make your own mind up about the legitimacy of My Shopping Genie scam reports. If someone generally doesn't like the MLM business model then the Genie is not for them..
If you are someone who disapproves of network marketing in general then you are probably against the Genie business opportunity. The only thing I will say is that it would be in my 'weaker' opportunity list because of the lack of tangible products. Network marketing has unfortunately been tarnished over the years as the result of extravagant marketing. People making promises of quick fast money within days (which for most people this will never happen) doesn't really help the industry.
I like the Genie's pay plan, it is a legitimate network marketing business I feel with some great potential for building a residual online income.
If you know how to generate a lot of leads for your business and have some good marketing skills then you can do very well with this opportunity.
There are actually six things that you must do to have success with your organization, to learn what they are click and check out my mlm strategies center right now
