We use much of our time in our workplaces. We basically stay here during the weekdays, working from 9AM in the morning up until 6PM or even later. In some cases, because we are too used to what our surroundings feel and look like, we even consider our offices as our second home. Troubles might occur in these conditions because we might disregard our business or work ethics when we get this view. Having effective <a href='http://www.skycreation.com.sg/page_promotion.html'>office designs</a> that will make employees remember the difference of the home from the workplace can make this dilemma go away.
Office Troubles Due To Inappropriate Office Designs
Employees who are too relaxed or too stressed are somtimes caused by bad office designs. Workers see their workplace as either heaven or hell. Heaven if they are too relaxed and most of the time do nothing and hell if they see it as a place of suffering and pain. The workplace should ideally be balanced. It should promote hard work and perseverance while discouraging anxiety, suffering and pain.
Poor designs can lead to terrible employee performance because they tend to disregard their limits if the design is not suitable for an office environment. They are also tempted to perform acts that are unpleasant for the organization like taking home pencils, paper clips, pens and other office resources. Some employees even sleep or take a bath in the office.
Office And Home Separation
These unpleasant deeds really occur in offices which have poor office designs especially to the offices which are way to relaxed. This can be remedied by providing a proper office design that would show separation between the home and the office. With this design, the workers will know how to act properly inside an office. They will know what they can or cannot do, which could then result to a more ethical and efficient work environment.
Performance of a business can be affected by its business ethics. The actions of the workers is a reflection of the ethics of the business. These ethics are guidelines for the employees which sets their limits and the things that they should do. This is why the business ethics should be maintained and taken into consideration. One way of doing this is by altering the office designs to better suit an efficient working environment. By doing this, the business can expect its employees to be more effective, efficient and ethical.
